This is the B-Side of Culture’s Contributors. Anyone can tell you about Jay Z’s new deal, Rihanna heading into a new album, the track list to the new Dreamville album, the breakout single from the artist from Chicago or Atlanta or Denver working to make a name but who is there to give the real story? The want to work toward these accomplishments.
At ShawnGranted.com we are designed to let you into the artist, their career, their moves, their thinking, the biggest events and releases while presenting in a one on one homie feel that anyone can appreciate. With doing such our aim is to work directly with the artist, invigorating their personas into what you receive.
But why be the B-Side? In the Rap Year Book, Shea Serrano breaks down each year and it’s respective best rap song, awarding the year of 1983 to Run-D.M.C. for their breakout single “Sucker M.C.’s.” What’s amazing about the record is it was originally issued as the B-side, which is often considered as a secondary recording. The A-side, in this case “It’s Like That,” was believed to be the track that would receive the most recognition. What happened here is the fan wanted both and the secondary option overtook the main offering.
Within ShawnGranted.com you will find just that, the creative story. The A-side serving as the product, the event, the song, but alongside of that you will also catch what goes into that piece from the artist and their stories, that is aimed to give you the best experience.
Welcome to the B-side.
